This is one of the most familiar circuits to F1 teams because the majority of
winter testing takes place here. It tests the set-up of an F1 chassis like few
other circuits : you need perfect aerodynamic balance to cope with a succession
of hight-speed corners and straights. Results at Barcelona ususally reflect the
competitiveness of a chassis rather than its driver.

This is a circuit that is used very little and track conditions thus change as
the week-end wears on. Its well-worn, low-grip surface makes it another circuit
that places a premium on good traction. It puts a great strain on mechanical
components and tends to be something of a car-breaker.

The home of the French Grand Prix has a very smooth surface and chassis set-up
tends to be quite extreme, with ultra-stiff suspension and low ride haights. The
circuit has some interesting technical sections. There are, however, precious
few passing opportunities..

Place : Silverstone
Where the very first Grand Prix ever took place. This famous old circuit has
grown a number of chicanes in recent years, but average lap speeds are still
higher than 220 km/h (135mph). Silverstone has been extensively redeveloped in
an effort to keep up with the times.
